## Engineering Philosophy
I design software systems built to withstand the realities of sustained production workloads. Modern software engineering frequently suffers from accidental complexity — the impulse to adopt distributed architectures, microservices, and specialized data stores before understanding fundamental failure boundaries.

My technical approach favors **pragmatism and boring technology**. Systems built with well-understood components, unambiguous failure modes, and clear operational runbooks consistently outperform overengineered architectures in both uptime and engineering velocity.
